Fishing report July 16, mid week. Fish are still on mayfly's but it has not slowed the fishing on Lac Seul. Monday and Tuesday we fished on rocky point and 2 shallow weedy bays Filled with mayflys. Walleyes were ravenous and we went through over 12 dozen minnows with only 2 fishermen in the boat both days. Averaging 130 walleyes each day with 6 over 25 Monday and 4 over 25 the second. The largest being 28 inches,
Caught by Cameron DeCoursey. Today we decided to change it up after hammering the walleyes so hard and eating a great shore dinner, so we went to Clay lake to take on the Pike. Casting all day using spinnerbaits, suicks and bulldogs tired us out but we caught approx 75 pike with 16 over 3 feet 4 over 38 and 2 of those were over 40 the biggest being a 43 incher I caught at the end of the day. (Guide has to catch a big one once
And awhile :) )
This picture is of Cameron's 40
Incher.
